Raspberry starter Kit ; A great method to take your initial steps into the world of programming is with the Raspberry starting kit. Students may interact, develop, and enjoy jobs that a Raspberry Pi can carry out to address difficulties thanks to the Pi processor itself, electronic components casing, cables, power supply, SD card, keyboard, and dedicated touchscreen.
Raspberry Pi 400 kit ; It can be used to teach computing topics including programming, physical computing, networking, and problem-solving projects. It is a whole personal computer that fits into a small keyboard.
Methodology
Based on a defined curriculum guided by Raspberry and adapted to Kenyan setting, learners begin by using visualization programs i.e. Scratch which ignites learners creativity to become web designers as well as use robotic toys . There after they are introduced to programming using Python language which creates a foundation for learners.
HIGH SCHOOLS COHORT
Target group – Teachers and students in high school.
Platforms
Raspberry Pi 400 kit which is a complete personal computer, built into a compact keyboard and is used to teach computing concepts like programming, physical computing, networking as well as create projects that solve problems.
Arduino which is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino boards are able to read inputs, light on a sensor, a finger on a button, and turn it into an output – activating a motor, turning on an LED or publishing something online.
Methodology
Learners begin to build electronic programs and there after get introduced to programming using Python language which creates a foundation for learners to pursue interests in in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics.
